Registration Types

Type A is for Khmer-citizens who are:
  • Medical interns and residents
  • Medical doctors who have not yet had 12 months clinical supervision by a doctor registered in B
  • Medical doctors or assistants who have not performed clinical work during the last 3 years, but intend to begin performing clinical work in the current registration cycle. 

Type B is for Khmer medical doctors or medical assistants who are:

  • Currently working in clinical medicine (either part-time or full-time) and who have been practicing clinical medicine during the past three years
  • *Any doctor who is currently seeing patients in a private clinic (even if it is only on a part-time or irregular basis), must register as Type B.

Type C is for non-Khmer medical doctors or medical assistants who are:
  • Currently working in (or planning to work in) clinical medicine in the for-profit (private) sector in Cambodia.

Type D is for non-Khmer:

  • Interns, residents, doctors or medical assistants who practice clinical medicine, public health, medical training etc. in the not-for-profit (public) sector in Cambodia.  

Type E is for Khmer medical doctors or medical assistants who are:
  • Currently working ONLY in public health, health administration or health education, and do not see patients (even if it is only on a part-time or irregular basis) at a private clinic or public facility.
